Conocerán las técnicas para capturar imágenes y/o videos en eventos que podrá aplicar en trabajos de operaciones durante la noche. En un vuelo nocturno, el RPIC debe seguir todas la regulaciones de la agencia FAA 14 CFR Part 107, CFR 107.29 y la AC107 como tener la documentación en caso de una inspección. Aprender a trabajar con la adaptación a la oscuridad, aplicar las técnicas por la reducción del campo de visión, ser cauteloso con los problemas de la ilusiones ópticas y usar los accesorios especiales para vuelo nocturno. Cada RPIC debe utilizar una lista de cotejo (antes, durante y después) para reducir los riesgos, peligros y aumentar la seguridad con el uso del equipo no tripulado en el espacio aéreo. Adicional, debe implementar el uso de métodos de escaneo, solicitar las debidas autorizaciones en los espacios aéreos controlados y hacer buen uso de las técnicas de vuelo del UAS. En el taller práctico realizan rutinas de vuelos inteligentes o manuales manejando una iluminación constante de posicionamiento, lámparas, uso de luces anti colisión y sistema de carga ("payload system") entre otros equipos requeridos por las regulaciones o tipo de trabajo. En adición, presentar las ventajas utilizando cámaras térmicas. Como valor añadido se integran a la Comunidad Interactiva para más educación y talleres de seguimiento. Por otro lado, poner en práctica los conceptos de percepción de distancias, adaptación nocturna, mantener visión constante con el UAS, manejo de ilusiones ópticas, aplicar tipos de visiones, métodos de monitores del espacio aéreo, aplicar regulaciones, toma de desiciones utilizando el método de ADM, disfrute de las tomas aéreas y nocturnas entre otros temas.
